Message dated May 14 was read, stating the House passed and                    
returned for consideration SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 8                       
with the following amendment:                                                  
                                                                               
HOUSE CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION                                          
NO. 8(JUD) Relating to the 2000 decennial United                               
States census and to the development of redistricting                          
data for use by the state in legislative redistricting.                        
                                                                               
Senator Mackie moved that the Senate concur in the House                       
amendment.                                                                     
                                                                               
The question being: Shall the Senate concur in the House

Adams changed from "Yea" to "Nay".                                             
                                                                               
and so, the Senate concurred in the House amendment, thus adopting             
HOUSE CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 8(JUD)                                
Relating to the 2000 decennial United States census and to the                 
development of redistricting data for use by the state in legislative          
redistricting.                                                                 
                                                                               
The Secretary was requested to notify the House.                               
                                                                               
The resolution was referred to the Secretary for enrollment.
